Job Title: -Trusts & Estates ParalegalLocation: Boston, MASalary:- 85k- 98k AnnuallyRole OverviewThis position supports attorneys within a Trusts & Estates practice, with a primary focus on estate planning, probate, and trust administration for complex and taxable estates in Massachusetts. The paralegal will work closely with multiple attorneys and manage detailed, deadline-driven matters, including court filings, tax-related support, client communications, and legal document preparation.This role is non-litigation focused, centered on probate and trust administration with tax exposure, requiring strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and professionalism in client interactions.Key ResponsibilitiesAdminister complex and taxable estates and trusts, including preparation and filing of Massachusetts probate court formsAssist with Massachusetts and federal estate, gift, and fiduciary tax returns(experience with MassTaxConnect and GEMS is a plus)Communicate directly with clients, executors, trustees, financial advisors, accountants, courts, and appraisersSupport attorneys with estate planning processes, including client intake, engagement letters, funding instructions, and explanatory correspondenceDraft and proofread estate planning documents, including powers of attorney, healthcare proxies, living wills, and HIPAA formsObtain and draft real estate-related documents in the estate planning context, such as deeds, trustee certificates, and homestead declarationsTrack and calendar critical deadlines, including probate filings, tax due dates, and estate plan signingsPerform additional legal and administrative duties as assignedRequired BackgroundMinimum 5 years of experience as a paralegal in estate planning and/or probate and trust administrationStrong written, verbal, and proofreading skills with exceptional attention to detailProficiency with Microsoft Office, document management systems (e.g., NetDocs), and working with PDFsExcellent organizational and time-management skills in a fast-paced environmentAbility to communicate with clients, families, and advisors in a professional and empathetic mannerCommitment to confidentiality and discretionWillingness to learn and adapt to evolving workflows and systems Company DescriptionWe are committed to creating a workplace where all employees feel respected, supported, and empowered to do their best work.
