Location: Tualatin, OR (Onsite)

Duration: 12 months with possible extensions

Pay Rate: Up to $65.25/hr


Position Summary

Seeking a Product Engineer to support the development, qualification, release, and lifecycle management of complex gas delivery assemblies and OEM components used in advanced manufacturing equipment. This role will partner closely with Product Engineering, suppliers, Quality, Operations, and Supply Chain teams to support NPI, production ramp, sustaining engineering, supplier development, and continuous improvement initiatives.

The ideal candidate brings strong technical problem-solving, project management, root cause analysis, and supplier collaboration experience within semiconductor equipment, manufacturing, or a related technical environment.


Key Responsibilities

• Support development, qualification, and release of gas delivery assemblies, OEM components, and related products.

• Partner with Product Engineering teams and suppliers throughout NPI, production ramp, qualification, and sustaining activities.

• Provide technical support during component build, testing, qualification, manufacturing, and production.

• Investigate supplier quality, manufacturing, reliability, and performance issues and drive corrective actions to closure.

• Lead root cause investigations involving supplier, manufacturing, field, and customer-related issues.

• Collaborate with suppliers to improve manufacturing processes, process controls, product quality, cost, and delivery performance.

• Participate in Build Verify activities, Production Readiness Reviews (PRRs), and product release processes.

• Conduct supplier audits, technical assessments, and manufacturing capability evaluations.

• Support supplier development initiatives in partnership with Quality, Operations, Supply Chain, and Product Engineering.

• Manage technical projects, schedules, priorities, and issue resolution to support business objectives.

• Develop and implement Best Known Methods (BKMs), lessons learned, and continuous improvement initiatives.

• Apply structured problem-solving methodologies to identify root causes and implement sustainable corrective actions.

• Prepare technical reports, engineering documentation, supplier assessments, and project status updates.

• Collaborate effectively with cross-functional and global teams.

• Travel domestically and internationally as required.


Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Materials Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related technical discipline.

• 5 years of experience in product engineering, supplier engineering, manufacturing engineering, quality engineering, semiconductor equipment, or a related technical field.

• Experience with complex mechanical assemblies, OEM components, or semiconductor manufacturing equipment.

• Strong troubleshooting, technical problem-solving, and root cause analysis skills.

• Experience working with suppliers, contract manufacturers, or component manufacturers.

• Working knowledge of manufacturing processes, process controls, and quality systems.

• Experience leading technical investigations and driving corrective actions.

• Knowledge of statistical methods, process capability, and data-driven decision making.

• Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities independently.

• Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills.

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and standard engineering tools.

• Ability to work effectively across cross-functional and global teams.


Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with semiconductor gas delivery systems, fluid delivery systems, or ultra-high-purity (UHP) components.

• Knowledge of valves, regulators, weldments, manifolds, tubing assemblies, fittings, and related fluid-handling components.

• Supplier quality management or supplier development experience.

• Experience with failure analysis, reliability engineering, and corrective action methodologies.

• Experience conducting supplier audits and manufacturing capability assessments.

• Working knowledge of 8D, 5-Why, DMAIC, FMEA, SPC, or similar structured problem-solving methodologies.

• Experience supporting semiconductor equipment design, integration, qualification, or manufacturing.

• Experience working with global suppliers and multicultural teams.

• Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma experience.

• Advanced engineering degree.

• ASQ, Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing, supplier quality, or auditor certifications.

Salary : $120,000 - $130,000
