Scheduling Specialist

Our client, a leading Technology/E-commerce organization, is seeking a detail-oriented Scheduling Specialist to support our Healthcare Services Team with patient support in Tempe, AZ.

Pay Rate Range: $18-20/h

Key Responsibilities:

• Handle inbound and outbound patient calls and messages.
• Assist with insurance, billing, scheduling, fax management, referrals, and medical records.
• Coordinate with pharmacies, labs, specialists, insurance providers, and internal teams.
• Follow HIPAA requirements and protect sensitive patient information.
• Support urgent patient care needs and escalate critical issues when needed.
• Provide clear, professional, and empathetic communication to patients.
• Use systems such as NICE, Slack, G Suite, Zoom, and electronic medical records.
• Participate in team meetings and support providers with urgent patient needs.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 6 months of contact center experience OR 1 year of patient-facing experience.
• Strong communication, organization, and multitasking skills.
• Basic computer skills.
• Ability to work in a high-volume environment.
• Must be available for a flexible onsite schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays.

Preferred:

• Healthcare experience in scheduling, registration, medical records, insurance verification, or claims processing.
• Experience with de-escalation.
• Experience with NICE/InContact or similar phone systems.
• Familiarity with G Suite and EHR systems.
