Position Summary:
The Repair Technician is responsible for performing repairs, upgrades, retrofits, and preventive maintenance on both internal and external customer medical equipment. The role includes executing quality control procedures on all repaired devices before they are returned to the customer, providing technical support over the phone to customers, sales teams, and third-party maintenance providers, and supporting engineering teams with device repair needs. Additionally, the technician assists in delivering technical repair training to internal and external customers in collaboration with the Technical Service Center (TSC) repair engineer.

Contract Length: 12 Months contract position
Pay range: $20 to $ 22/hour on W2 as per your experience
Key Responsibilities:
- Ability to use a wide range of tools and equipment to support repair functions.
- Ensure devices and component parts to be repaired, refurbished, or salvaged are processed according to quality-controlled procedures.
- Test, diagnose, and execute repairs, upgrades, retrofits, and preventive maintenance on company and customer-owned devices.
- Rework, repair, and/or replace cable assemblies, wire harnesses, ribbon cables, cord sets, and related components as applicable.
- Replace or repair defective circuit boards; support software/firmware uploads and downloads for devices under repair; perform basic printed circuit board support including event log downloads.
- Support offline spare-part cleaning and salvaging activities.
- Reassemble units and conduct formal quality-control test procedures before releasing equipment for shipment.
- Accurately record consumption of parts to work orders, including verifying parts availability to support inventory management.
- Provide technical assistance over the phone to customers, sales teams, and third-party service providers.
- Assist in research, development, testing, and inspection of new products.
- Maintain a clean and orderly workspace, including bench and floor upkeep.
- Monitor condition of tools and calibrated equipment; notify appropriate personnel of required maintenance.
- Notify supervisors of any repair challenges or relevant information.
- Follow all company safety regulations and Job Safety Analysis requirements; promptly report any hazards.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 1 year of experience in electrical assembly, soldering, troubleshooting, and/or equipment repair—preferably in a manufacturing or technical environment (electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, or related trade).
- Proven ability to meet productivity and quality standards.
- Demonstrated experience monitoring work quality and correcting deficiencies.
- Ability to interpret electrical schematics, BOMs, test procedures, and work instructions.
- Knowledge of Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS).
- Ability to work scheduled shifts and complete tasks within required timeframes.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Must be authorized to work in the United States.
