Medical Lab Tech/Medical Technologist (Blood/Plasma/Clinical)
Pride Health/Russell Tobin is hiring a Medical Tech Lab I to join a regulated clinical laboratory team.
We are seeking a detail-oriented laboratory professional to support clinical testing, quality control, and blood and plasma product manufacturing. This 6-month contract opportunity is ideal for recent graduates or early-career professionals looking to gain hands-on experience in a cGMP-regulated laboratory environment.
Responsibilities Include:
- Perform routine and specialized laboratory testing using manual and automated methods.
- Analyze and interpret test results while ensuring compliance with quality control standards.
- Operate, calibrate, maintain, and troubleshoot laboratory instruments and equipment.
- Complete GMP documentation and follow SOPs, EHS, and regulatory requirements.
- Support laboratory operations, equipment maintenance, and cross-functional team activities.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Chemical, Biological, Clinical Laboratory Science, Medical Technology, or a related scientific discipline OR an Associate's degree in a related laboratory science field.
- Recent graduates are encouraged to apply.
- Strong computer skills with the ability to learn laboratory information systems.
- Excellent communication, analytical, and organizational skills.
- Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) or Medical Technologist (MT) certification and 2 years of laboratory experience are preferred.
Important Details:
- Employment Type: 6-month Contract opportunity.
- Schedule/Shift: Second Shift, Monday-Friday | 2:00 PM - 10:30 PM.
- Location: Knoxville, TN — 100% On-site.
- Pay Range: $21.00-$25.00 per hour.
- Work Environment: cGMP-regulated clinical laboratory requiring PPE. Candidates must be able to stand for extended periods, lift up to 40 lbs, and work with blood products, laboratory chemicals, and automated instrumentation.
