Title: Materials Sourcing Specialist
Location: Beaverton, OR 97005 (Hybrid – Monday–Thursday onsite, Friday remote)
Duration: 6 months (06/29/2026 – 01/15/2027)
Pay Range: $37-42/hr. on W2
Job Description:
- Support the Apparel Product Supply Chain organization by developing and executing long-range material sourcing strategies for wovens.
- Help cultivate a competitive sourcing landscape and ensure the organization is partnered with the right strategic suppliers to achieve business goals.
- Work closely with internal and external stakeholders to synthesize information, develop strategic recommendations, and support seasonal sourcing decisions.
- Partner with Supplier Managers in PHK and Asia, as well as Development, Planning, and Costing teams.
- This role is ideal for a strategic and proactive professional with 5 years of experience in product or materials sourcing, costing, manufacturing, or product development, preferably within apparel or accessories.
Job Functions:
- Develop and execute long-range material sourcing strategies for wovens.
- Evaluate and support the development of a competitive and strategically aligned supplier base.
- Synthesize input from internal and external stakeholders to support sourcing recommendations.
- Partner with Supplier Managers at PHK and in Asia to execute sourcing strategies.
- Collaborate with Development, Planning, Costing, and Apparel Sourcing teams.
- Support the tracking and execution of seasonal sourcing decisions.
- Manage multiple projects, timelines, priorities, and deliverables using strong project management skills.
- Analyze sourcing information and business data to identify opportunities and support strategic decision-making.
- Provide strategic recommendations to leaders based on supplier, sourcing, and market information.
- Maintain strong relationships with global stakeholders and partners across different cultures.
- Support sourcing initiatives related to material lead time, cost, quality, sustainability, and supply base risk.
Skills/Abilities:
- Strong strategic thinking, problem-solving, analytical, and collaboration skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong project management and stakeholder management capabilities.
- Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and work effectively across different cultures, particularly with Asia-based partners.
- Self-starter with a bias toward action.
- Familiarity with Tableau and/or Power BI.
- Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Microsoft PowerPoint preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to operate effectively in a cross-functional environment.
Experience:
- 5 years of experience in Product Sourcing, Materials Sourcing, Costing, Manufacturing, or Product Development, ideally within apparel or accessories.
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, or a related field required.
- Experience managing multiple stakeholders and working with global supplier partners.
- Project management experience required.
- Apparel, accessories, woven materials, or related consumer products experience strongly preferred.
