Position: Mainframe Support Analyst

Duration: 12 Months Contract to Hire

Location: South Jordan, UT (Hybrid – 3 Days Onsite in a Week)

Summary:

Seeking a Mainframe Support Analyst to join the Reliability & Production Engineering (RPE) team, responsible for maintaining critical production systems, ensuring operational reliability, and driving process improvements across global technology platforms.

Key Responsibilities:

• Monitor, troubleshoot, and manage mainframe and distributed systems to ensure stable operations and rapid incident resolution.
• Handle production issues across COBOL, JCL, DB2, VSAM, and UNIX/Linux environments.
• Lead incident calls, coordinate with global teams, and provide real-time recovery updates to management.
• Manage ServiceNow tickets, job failures, and implement automation or workflow improvements.
• Participate in global “follow-the-sun” support and on-call rotations (including weekends).

Qualifications:

• 1–5 years of production support experience with COBOL, JCL, DB2, UNIX/Linux, and scripting (Shell, Python, Perl, JavaScript).
• Strong debugging, analytical, and communication skills; experience with incident management tools.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field preferred; financial services background a plus.
• Knowledge of SRE concepts, ITIL, SDLC, Agile, and exposure to Prometheus, Grafana, Kubernetes, or Cloud technologies desirable.
