Laboratory Technician (Recent Grads/Entry Level/Biology/Samples)

Russell Tobin is partnering with a leading Pharmaceuticals organization to identify a Laboratory Technician for an opportunity in Knoxville, TN.

Responsibilities

· Perform laboratory procedures related to donor and unit suitability testing and other required assays.

· Conduct routine analytical testing using manual and automated methods and evaluate results against established controls.

· Operate laboratory instrumentation and technical equipment while documenting testing, troubleshooting, calibration, and maintenance activities.

· Complete quality control and equipment maintenance according to SOPs and applicable cGMP requirements.

· Maintain accurate laboratory records and proficiency with laboratory information systems and sample workflows.

· Troubleshoot instrumentation and escalate unresolved equipment issues to supervisors.

· Follow all regulatory, safety, EHS, and laboratory procedures while maintaining a clean and safe work environment.

· Collaborate with internal laboratory teams and support training across multiple departments as needed.

Requirements

· Bachelor's degree in chemical, physical, biological, or clinical laboratory science, or medical technology from an accredited institution; recent graduates are welcome.

· Associate degree in chemical, physical, or biological science or medical laboratory technology also considered.

· Intermediate to strong computer skills.

· Ability to communicate effectively within the laboratory and with other departments.

· Ability to work in a fast-paced laboratory environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

· Ability to stand or walk for extended periods and lift or carry up to 40 lbs.

· Must be comfortable working around laboratory chemicals and bloodborne pathogens while following required PPE and safety procedures.

Preferred

· Tennessee MLT or MT licensure.

· 2 years of related laboratory experience.

• Location model: 100% onsite – Knoxville, TN 37932
• Schedule: 2nd shift M-F 2:00pm - 10:30pm (rotating holidays)
• Position Type: 6-month contract
• Pay range: $21-$25/hr
