Russell Tobin's client is hiring an Import & Freight Administrator in Pinellas Park, FL
Employment Type: Contract
Location: Hybrid 3 days in office (training will be onsite) - Pinellas Park, FL 33782
Schedule: Monday-Friday 8am-4:30pm
Pay rate: $26-$28/hr
Responsibilities:
- Review duty invoices for accuracy and approve for payment
- Provide detailed entry summaries to third-party brokerage firms for computed value
- Perform reconciliation processes related to import duties
- Provide monthly detailed entry summaries to Finance for duty cross-charging to corporate headquarters
- Coordinate year-end deliveries to meet working capital objectives of the parent company and Transitions business
- Provide required documentation to auditors on a quarterly basis
- Act as backup support for other team roles as needed
- Adhere to regulatory requirements for entry documentation and electronic record retention
- Ensure supplying facilities comply with U.S. Customs requirements as outlined in the CTPAT program
- Ensure accuracy and completeness of the ACE Portal (U.S. Customs software)
- Coordinate with the parent company on the scope of compliance activities performed on behalf of Transitions
Requirements:
- 3–5 years of experience in U.S. import and logistics
- Strong knowledge of U.S. import regulations
- Experience with international freight management
- Advanced Excel skills; proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, changing environment
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
