Facilities Standards Engineer
Location: Georgetown, KY
Pay Rate: $42–$45/hour
Overtime: Up to 10%
Role Overview
Client is seeking a Standards Engineer to plan, develop, and maintain North American Facility Standards. This role plays a key part in ensuring consistency, quality, and compliance across facility and construction standards while collaborating with cross-functional teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, review, and update facility and construction standards and specifications related to:
- Mechanical
- Electrical
- Civil
- Architectural systems
- Collaborate with design, planning, manufacturing, and project teams to complete standards and specifications
- Monitor industry codes, standards, and best practices, as well as global Toyota trends and historical building issues
- Manage multiple standards concurrently to ensure timely completion
- Provide guidance and clarification on standards to internal teams
- Maintain accurate documentation and records related to standards and specifications
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, or related field)
- 5–10 years of engineering experience
- 5 years of experience in standards development, engineering implementation, or quality assurance
- Strong working knowledge of industry codes and standards, including:
- ASTM
- ASHRAE
- IBC
- NFPA
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills
- Proven ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional environment
- Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Office
- Proficiency with AutoCAD, Bluebeam, or other PDF editing tools
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience developing construction standards and specifications
- Familiarity with standards management software or tools
