Manufacturing Controls / Automation Engineer
Location: Buffalo, NY (Onsite – 5 days/week)
Pay Rate: $48-54/hour
Openings: 2
Duration: 12 months (strong extension and conversion potential)
Start: ASAP (Target: January 2026)
Candidates are assigned one primary shift (no regular rotation).
Shift preference must be ranked at the top of the resume.
- 1st: 6:30 AM – 3:00 PM
- 2nd: 3:00 PM – 11:30 PM
- 3rd: 11:00 PM – 7:30 AM
2–3 weekend shifts per month required
Candidates willing to work only one shift will not be considered.
Role Overview
Hands-on manufacturing support role within a high-volume engine assembly plant. This is not a desk job—80–90% of time is spent on the factory floor supporting production, maintenance, and automation systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Support production and maintenance on engine assembly lines
- Troubleshoot automation, controls, robotics, and vision systems
- Participate in shift handover and daily priority meetings
- Support new equipment installations and improvement projects
Required Qualifications
- Associate’s degree required (Bachelor’s preferred – Electrical Engineering ideal)
- 5–7 years manufacturing plant experience (less considered for strong learners)
- Hands-on experience with machine controls and automation
- Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment
- Strong communication, teamwork, and learning mindset
Local Buffalo/Niagara candidates strongly preferred
Preferred Technical Experience
- PLCs (Siemens, Rockwell)
- Fanuc robots/cobots
- Vision systems (Cognex, Dalsa, Matrox)
- Automated material handling (AMRs, fork trucks)
Interview Process
