About the Role
We are looking for a driven and ambitious Business Development Associate to join our growing team in New York City. This is a ground-floor opportunity for an early-career professional eager to build a career in consulting and professional services. You'll work directly alongside senior BD and client-facing teams to identify opportunities, develop relationships, and support the full sales lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
- Prospect and identify new business opportunities across target industries and verticals
- Conduct market research to support pipeline development and competitive positioning
- Assist in preparing proposals, pitch decks, and RFP responses
- Support senior business development managers in client outreach and meeting preparation
- Maintain and update CRM systems with accurate pipeline and activity data
- Coordinate and participate in client meetings, networking events, and industry conferences
- Collaborate cross-functionally with consulting delivery teams to align on client needs and service offerings
- Track and report on BD metrics, pipeline activity, and outreach effectiveness
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, Finance, or a related field (required)
- 0–2 years of experience in business development, sales, client services, or a related role
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; experience with CRM tools (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot) a plus
- Self-starter mentality with a collaborative approach
- Ability to commute to and work onsite in New York City, Monday through Friday
