Position Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and analytical individual to join our Brokerage Operations Tax Compliance team, located in either Jersey City or New York City. This hybrid role requires three days per week in the office. The OTC group is a vital part of our Client Tax Operations, focusing on ensuring compliance and enhancing the quality of tax operations across various client accounts and tax regimes.
Key Responsibilities
- Engage in the execution of the Tax Operations Quality Assurance Testing Process.
- Support strategic initiatives and projects, including the automation of OTC processes.
- Contribute to the review and enhancement of controls to advance Tax Compliance maturity.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree and 1-3 years of experience in Financial Services, ideally in Operations Tax.
- Familiarity with IRS Rules Chapter 3 (NRA), Chapter 4 (FATCA), and Chapter 61 (Back-up Withholding).
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills for interpreting tax rules and logic.
- Attention to detail in validating documentation and reconciling client activity.
- Proficiency in managing manual and automated control processes, including QA testing.
- Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
- Advanced proficiency in MS Excel, PowerPoint, and Word; experience with Alteryx and/or PowerBI is a plus.

- Pay Rate: $34 an hour
- Hybrid Schedule: 3 days per week in office
