Title: Accounts Receivable Analyst
Location: Secaucus, NJ (4 Days Onsite / 1 Day Remote)
Pay Rate: $31.82/hour
Contract: 3-Month W2 Contract (potential for conversion or extension)
Position Overview
The Accounts Receivable Analyst will support billing, accounts receivable, reconciliations, month-end close activities, and audit-related processes. This individual will work closely with multiple internal departments to ensure accurate invoicing, timely collections, and proper accounting controls.
Success in this role requires strong attention to detail, excellent Excel skills, a willingness to learn, and the ability to thrive in a collaborative environment.
Responsibilities
• Generate, review, and reconcile invoices across multiple business lines
• Serve as a point of contact for billing-related questions from internal and external stakeholders
• Assist with onboarding new customers into billing systems
• Support accounts receivable processes, including collections and cash application activities
• Perform account reconciliations and prepare supporting schedules
• Assist with month-end and year-end close activities
• Prepare journal entries and support various accounting adjustments
• Participate in audit preparation and respond to audit requests as needed
• Analyze financial data and reporting using Excel
• Assist with credit card processing and bank reconciliations
• Support system upgrades, testing, and process improvement initiatives
• Collaborate with accounting and finance teams to ensure accurate and timely reporting
• Maintain compliance with internal controls and accounting procedures
Basic Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field preferred
• Experience in Accounts Receivable, Accounting, Finance, Billing, or related functions
• Strong Microsoft Excel skills, including the ability to analyze and reconcile data
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
• Positive attitude, willingness to learn, and strong coachability
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience with SAP or similar ERP systems
• Exposure to month-end close processes
• Experience supporting audits, reconciliations, or financial reporting activities
• Knowledge of billing, cash application, and accounts receivable processes
