Russell Tobin's client a retail company is hiring a Product Development Coordinator in Manhattan, NY.

Job Title: Product Development Coordinator (Intimates) - Contract

Location: Hybrid (Tri-State Area Required) Manhattan, NY

Schedule: 40 hours/week

Pay Rate: $35 - $38/hour

Contract Type: Maternity Leave Backfill (Extension Possible)

Overview

We are seeking an experienced Product Development Coordinator to support the development of prototype products within the intimates category, specifically bras and panties in the signature intimates space. This is an individual contributor role focused on driving the product lifecycle from concept through development, working closely with cross-functional partners and vendor teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate the development of prototype products across the product line
• Monitor and manage the overall development process to ensure timelines are met
• Serve as the primary point of contact for development details with vendor partners
• Create and maintain seasonal composite sheets and classification charts
• Coordinate weekly workflow updates to ensure clear communication with vendors, production, technical, and merchandising teams
• Track samples, costing, and development progress
• Communicate design and development details clearly and accurately
• Support data entry and reporting related to product development

Qualifications

• Bachelor s degree in Design or a related field, or equivalent experience
• 3-5 years of product design and/or product development experience
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Background in product development, preferably within apparel or intimates
• Experience with costing analysis and sample tracking is a plus
• Ability to manage multiple workstreams in a fast-paced environment

Work Environment

• Reports to a Product Development Manager and works closely with a Director and two additional team members
