Overview
We are seeking an experienced Solid Rocket Motor (SRM) Subject Matter Expert to support the Department of Defense’s Industrial Base Analysis and Sustainment (IBAS) initiatives. In this role, you will provide technical and programmatic leadership across multiple projects focused on maturing advanced kinetic weapon technologies and strengthening critical U.S. supply chains.
Responsibilities
- Lead programmatic and technical oversight of IBAS investments related to SRMs
- Conduct independent assessments of technology maturity and transition potential
- Collaborate with government, industry, and engineering teams to drive program improvements
- Develop executive‑level briefings, reports, and decision materials
- Support IPTs, program reviews, and milestone planning
- Provide recommendations on cost reduction, risk mitigation, and program growth
- Develop life‑cycle cost analyses and system support documentation
- Maintain schedules, plans, and required program documentation
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering
- Minimum 5 years of SRM technical program/project management experience
- Proficiency with MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project or equivalent)
- Ability to obtain and maintain an Active Secret Clearance
- Ability to travel up to 25%
- U.S. Citizenship (required per contract)
Desired Qualifications
- Advanced engineering degree
- Hands‑on manufacturing experience
- 10 years managing SRM development or production programs
- 15 years of technical program management supporting system development (e.g., propellant grain design/casting, rocket motor cases, TVC systems, nozzles)
- Experience leading engineering teams from design through production

Pay: $150,000.00 - $225,000.00 per year
