In This Role, You Will…Some of your duties may include:

  • Maintain accurate inventory levels.
  • Manage and control perpetual inventory stock counting/inventory accuracy checks.
  • Create accurate procedures for all inventory control processes and functions
  • Ensure integrity and accuracy of the stock management system.
  • Produce daily reports to ensure inventory is controlled and any discrepancies are addressed and resolved in a timely manner.
  • Directly supervises employees. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws.
  • Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
  • Responsible for food safety, quality, and legality of food products
  • In the event of absence, Inventory Control Manager role in food safety, quality, legality is to be filled by V.P. Operations.
  • Accurately controls and tracks physical inventory.
  • Participates in inventory process and daily audits; researches and resolves inventory discrepancies.
  • Maintains and manages accurate records of quantity, type, and value of material, equipment, merchandise, and/or supplies stocked.
  • Performs required administrative tasks; prepares all required reports and correspondence.

  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of the organization Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportion, percentages, area, circumference and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.

  • Planning/Organizing - Prioritizes and plans work activities; Uses time efficiently; Plans for additional resources; Sets goals and objectives; Organizes or schedules other people and their tasks; Develops realistic action plans.
  • One-year certificate from college or technical school, or three to six months related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 3 to 5 years inventory management experience. 3 years warehouse experience

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

  • Occasionally required to sit.
  • Frequently required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel.
  • Frequently required to reach with hands and arms.
  • Occasionally required to stoop, kneel, or crawl
  • Frequently required to lift heavy weights (50 pounds or greater)
  • Must be able to lift up to 75 lbs. Carry up to 50 lbs. Push/Pull up to 30 lbs. of force. Ascend and descend a step with a height of 10 in. From the floor.
  • Able to work in cold environment for an extended period of time.
  • Able to stand for long periods of time.
  • Able to reach bend.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

  • Exposure to wet and/or humid conditions
  • Exposure to moving mechanical parts
  • Exposure to extreme cold.
  • Protective clothing or equipment is required including: gloves, helmets, steel-toed boots, protective eyewear.
  • The noise level in the work environment usually is loud
