Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role based in Tampa, FL, for a Senior Estimator. The Senior Estimator will be responsible for reviewing project specifications and blueprints, preparing cost estimates and budgets, analyzing material, labor, and equipment costs, and collaborating with project managers, engineers, and subcontractors. The role also involves leading the bid process, performing risk assessments, and ensuring that estimates align with client expectations and project goals.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in cost estimation, quantity takeoffs, and budgeting
- Strong ability to analyze blueprints, specifications, and project drawings
- Excellent skills in vendor sourcing, subcontractor negotiations, and pricing strategies
- Experience with risk assessment, project planning, and bid management
- Proficiency in relevant software tools for estimation and data analysis
- Sound communication, teamwork, and leadership capabilities
- Knowledge of construction techniques, materials, and methods, specifically in the marine construction industry
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field preferred
- 10 years of experience in estimating, preferably in marine or heavy civil construction
- Ability to work on-site at the Tampa, FL location and collaborate with the project team
