Role Description The Store Manager role at Russell Cellular is a full-time, on-site position located in Charlottesville, VA. The Store Manager oversees daily store operations, including supervising team members, managing opening and closing procedures, and maintaining store standards. This role is responsible for driving sales performance, coaching and developing staff, and ensuring consistent, high-quality customer experiences. The Store Manager monitors inventory, implements retail loss prevention practices, and ensures compliance with company policies and Verizon guidelines. The position also involves scheduling, basic reporting, and collaborating with regional leadership to meet or exceed store goals.
Qualifications
- Strong customer-facing skills, including Customer Service and Customer Satisfaction, with a focus on building positive, long-term relationships.
- Effective Communication skills, including clear verbal and written communication and the ability to provide constructive feedback and coaching.
- Proven Store Management experience, including supervising staff, managing daily operations, and achieving sales and performance targets.
- Understanding of Retail Loss Prevention practices, including minimizing shrink, following cash-handling procedures, and ensuring policy compliance.
- Prior retail or wireless/telecommunications experience is preferred, with demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced, goal-oriented environment.
- Ability to work a flexible full-time schedule, including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays, as business needs require.
- Comfort using point-of-sale systems and basic office software; ability to learn new technology quickly.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; additional education in business, management, or a related field is a plus.
