Duties
- Greet customers warmly and assist with their needs, providing product information and demonstrations when appropriate
- Operate POS (Point of Sale) systems accurately to process sales, returns, and exchanges efficiently
- Handle cash, credit card transactions, and other payment methods with precision and integrity
- Maintain organized merchandise displays through merchandising and stocking efforts to enhance store presentation
- Engage customers in upselling opportunities to maximize sales while ensuring excellent customer service
- Manage phone etiquette by answering inquiries professionally and directing calls appropriately
- Support inventory management by monitoring stock levels, assisting with stock replenishment, and conducting regular stock checks
- Provide product demos to educate customers about features and benefits of new or popular items
- Assist with grocery store operations by adhering to safety standards, cleanliness protocols, and store policies
Requirements
- Previous experience with POS systems and cash handling is preferred but not required; training will be provided
- Demonstrated supervising experience or leadership skills are a plus for those interested in growth opportunities
- Bilingual abilities are highly valued to serve diverse customer needs effectively
- Strong communication skills with a friendly phone manner and excellent customer service aptitude
- Ability to perform basic math calculations quickly for accurate transactions and retail math tasks
- Experience in retail sales, merchandising, stocking, or grocery store environments is advantageous
- Flexibility to work varied shifts including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
- A proactive attitude with the desire to learn about products and improve sales techniques
Pay: From $12.50 per hour
Expected hours: 20.0 – 40.0 per week
