POSITIONS: Special Education Teacher
LOCATION/TIME: Vollmer Elementary School (Grades K-7 Levels) AND Rush-Henrietta Senior High School (Grades 4-12 Levels)
July 6 - August 14, 2026 (30 sessions, Mondays through Fridays) July 6 - August 14, 2026 (30 sessions, Mondays through Fridays)
8:30 to 11:30 a.m. instruction, plus ½ hour paid planning time 8:15 to 11:15 a.m. instruction, plus ½ hour paid planning time
Per RHEA Teachers' Contract (summer school "full load" rate) Article 26, Section 8
Duties
The Extended School Year Summer Program provides mandated services and instruction for students with significant learning and developmental needs who qualify for extended-year programming to prevent regression. Special Education teachers will design group and individualized learning tasks, aligned to the essential curriculum and individual IEP goals. Ongoing communication with students and families is required. Students will be grouped by grade level bands and all instruction will be in-person. Qualifications
Applicants must possess the appropriate NYS Teacher Certification.
Preference in appointment will be given to Rush-Henrietta teachers.
