Facilities Maintenance Technician

This is a unique opportunity to be part of opening and maintaining our new Salina location helping ensure the space is ready, welcoming, and well cared for from day one. Nex-Tech is seeking a dependable, hands-on individual to join our Facilities team as a Facilities Maintenance Technician. In this role, you’ll play a key part in keeping our company-owned facilities clean, safe, and fully operational while supporting general maintenance, simple remodeling, groundskeeping, janitorial duties, and event setup.

What You'll Do:

• Perform janitorial duties including vacuuming, carpet cleaning, sweeping, mopping, waxing floors, maintaining entryways, and cleaning restrooms, kitchens, and office spaces
• Assist with building maintenance including painting, minor plumbing, light carpentry, basic electrical repairs, and HVAC upkeep
• Maintain outdoor grounds including mowing, trimming, spraying, snow removal, and general landscape upkeep
• Assist with office moves, facility updates, and remodeling projects
• Set up and tear down for open houses, company meetings, and special events

What You Bring:

• Knowledge of general maintenance, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and groundskeeping practices
• Ability to operate hand tools, power tools, and lawn equipment (forklift experience a plus)
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to manage multiple tasks
• Effective communication and customer service skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Ability to read and interpret maps, blueprints, and maintenance manuals
• Valid Kansas driver’s license (required)

Education & Experience:

High school diploma, or the equivalent, plus six months[BB1] [WN2] [TP3]  of construction, repair, maintenance, mechanical, electrical or grounds-keeping experience or equivalent work experience.
