Position Summary
Ruoff Mortgage is seeking a motivated Property Management Intern for Summer 2026. Our internship program runs from Wednesday, May 20th - Friday, August 7th. This internship offers hands-on experience in lease administration, facility operations, preventive maintenance planning, and more.
Essential Responsibilities
- Conduct a Comprehensive Lease Audit across all Ruoff Mortgage branch locations.
- Maintain accurate records of lease agreements, expiration dates, and renewal options.
- Identify and track preventive maintenance needs for each branch, ensuring operational efficiency and compliance.
- Assist in creating reports and dashboards summarizing lease and maintenance forecasts.
- Collaborate with the Facilities and Property Management team to prioritize maintenance projects and branch upgrades.
- Support ad-hoc property management projects as assigned.
Requirements
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Ability to analyze data and create clear, actionable reports.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel for tracking and forecasting.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating with a team.
- Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and completeness.
Experience and Training
- Coursework or practical experience in Real Estate, Business, Finance, Facilities Management, or related fields.
- Prior internship or project experience involving administrative tasks, data management, or facility operations is a plus.
- Experience with reporting, spreadsheets, or property databases is advantageous.
Physical Demands and Work Environment
Physical Demands:
- This position is active and on-the-go, requiring frequent walking, standing, bending, and reaching while moving throughout branch locations.
- The employee may occasionally lift, carry, or move items up to 25 pounds, including equipment or materials needed for branch operations.
- Requires good hand-eye coordination and the ability to perform tasks involving both fine and gross motor skills.
- Specific vision abilities include close and distance vision, peripheral vision, and the ability to adjust focus.
- Must be able to talk, hear, and communicate effectively in-person and over the phone.
Work Environment:
