Position Summary
Ruoff Mortgage is seeking a motivated Finance & Accounting Intern for Summer 2026. Our internship program runs from Wednesday, May 20th - Friday, August 7th. This role provides hands-on experience working with seasoned accounting professionals and contributing to a variety of departmental projects. The intern will support the Finance & Accounting team with daily operations, reporting tasks, and special projects throughout the summer.
Essential Responsibilities
- Utilize accounting software to support workflows and maintain accurate financial records.
- Assist with month-end reporting and preparation of financial statements.
- Prepare and post journal entries.
- Support the development of internal and external management reports.
- Assist with accounts receivable, accounts payable, and bank reconciliations.
- Participate in audit preparation and related tasks.
- Assist with semi-monthly payroll processes.
- Perform data entry with accuracy and efficiency.
- Maintain a high level of confidentiality when handling sensitive personal or financial information.
- Perform general administrative or department support tasks as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple tasks.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong organizational skills and a willingness to learn.
Requirements
Experience and Training
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, Economics, or a related field.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, and Outlook.

- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to walk; sit; reach with hands and arms; stoop; talk and hear.
- Specific vision abilities required by the job include close and distance vision, peripheral vision and the ability to adjust focus.
- Occasionally lift, carry and/or move up to 25 pounds.

- Professional atmosphere in an open work environment
- Routinely uses office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinet and fax machine.
