Job Summary
Runza Restaurant is looking for a dependable Kitchen Helper to keep food preparation and back-of-house activities running smoothly. This role will assist the kitchen team with prep, cleaning, stocking, and other tasks needed during daily service.
Responsibilities
- Prepare vegetables, ingredients, and other items for cooking
- Assist cooks with food preparation and plating
- Keep refrigerators, prep tables, and storage areas organized
- Refill ingredients and supplies throughout the shift
- Clean cookware, utensils, and kitchen surfaces
- Follow proper food storage and temperature procedures
- Help maintain an orderly kitchen during busy service periods
- Report low supplies or equipment issues to the kitchen lead
Qualifications
- Kitchen or food-service experience is preferred but not required
- Able to follow written and verbal instructions
- Good work ethic and dependable attendance
- Comfortable performing repetitive and physical tasks
- Works well with cooks and other restaurant employees
- Must be willing to follow health and sanitation requirements
