HOA Groundskeeper/Landscaper
General Responsibilities:
- Remove all trash from grounds, landscaping areas and parking lots on a daily basis.
- Cut grass and trim shrubs.
- Remove weeds from grounds.
- Rake and remove leaves.
- Water landscaped areas.
- Remove and replace dead or damaged plants, shrubs and trees.
- Plant new flowers and shrubs in appropriate seasons.
- Mulch and maintain landscape beds.
- Inspect and diagnosis insect and disease problems on trees and shrubs.
- Dig ditches as needed.
- Pipe fitting and irrigation system repairs.
- Maintain grounds equipment in proper working order and keep equipment storage area in a safe and clean condition.
- Remove snow and ice from all roads, sidewalks and parking lot as needed.
- Keep work area neat and organized.
- Conduct self in a professional manner at all times.
- Maintains safe working environment and immediately report all unsafe conditions.
- Maintain a good working relationship with all departments.
- Comply with all policies and procedures set forth by the property Employee Handbook.
- Perform all other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Prior landscaping experience preferred.
- Must be able to operate a lawn-mower, weed and grass trimmer, snow removal equipment and hand tools.
- Knowledge and use of chemicals and pesticides.
- Possession of government required licenses or certificates.
- Must posses a valid Drivers License
- Ability to:
- Work with minimal supervision.
- Communicate effectively.
- Work as part of a team.
- Receive and follow both verbal and written instructions.
- Work well under pressure.
- Maintain a professional appearance at all times.
