RUN Studios, and its client partner, a large online retailer headquartered in Seattle, are seeking a User Experience Designer to join for an approximate 12-month project!
This position requires 5 days onsite in downtown Seattle.
We are seeking a talented and passionate User Experience Designer to help refine and expand our clients' internal tools that support teams operating in new regions. This is a highly impactful role working with cross-functional partners who value strong design thinking and execution. The ideal candidate can step in quickly, understand the vision, and deliver thoughtful, user-centered design solutions in a fast-moving environment.
As a UX Designer, You Will
- Quickly and thoroughly create process flows, wireframes, and visual design mockups to effectively conceptualize and communicate detailed interaction behaviors.
- Partner closely with cross-functional teams to help define business and feature requirements using empirical online data, usability findings, market research, and proven user-centered design principles.
- Assess and optimize the performance of new and existing features by actively participating in usability testing and interpreting analytics data.
- Present design work to user experience, product, and executive stakeholders for review and feedback.
- Contribute to user interface design and development best practices and standards.
- Provide leadership and thought partnership around ecommerce trends, web application design, and user interface innovation.
As an Applicant, You Bring
- 3–6 years of industry experience delivering interaction design solutions for web and/or software applications.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in design, human-computer interaction (HCI), or equivalent professional experience.
- Strong understanding of best practices for web-based information architecture and design, with deep knowledge of usability principles and techniques.
- Proficiency with design tools such as Photoshop, Illustrator, Fireworks, Visio, and Dreamweaver.
- A strong online portfolio demonstrating user-centered design solutions and relevant past work is required.
- Excellent communication, presentation, interpersonal, and analytical skills, with the ability to clearly and persuasively communicate complex interaction design concepts across varied audiences.
- Ability to work effectively with highly technical partners and manage multiple projects in an agile, fast-paced environment.
- Self-directed, detail-oriented, and collaborative, with a strong sense of ownership and follow-through.
- Ability to prototype using HTML, JavaScript, and CSS, or Flash, is highly desired.

Compensation
Pay Range: $45 -$52.50 (Hourly)
The successful candidate’s pay will be based on various factors such as individual qualifications and work location.
Benefits:
Benefits and perks may vary depending on location and nature of the work, but eligible employees have access to medical, dental, vision, life, and AD&D benefits, health savings and flexible spending accounts, other telehealth and wellness benefits, a minimum of seven paid holidays per year, accrual of at least 6.5 days (Temporary Employment) to at least 15 days (Regular Employment) of paid time off per year, a 401k plan with company match, discretionary bonuses dependent on company, team or individual performance, and referral bonuses for eligible hired referrals.
