Studios Production Technician (7168)

RUN STUDIOS LLC
Redmond, WA Full Time
POSTED ON 7/23/2026
AVAILABLE BEFORE 9/22/2026

Are you a production jack-of-all-trades looking to add more skills to your dynamic toolbelt? This might be the role for you!

RUN Studios, in partnership with one of our leading corporate clients, is looking for a Studios Production Technician to join our collaborative Redmond-based team. This role is ideal for a versatile production professional who thrives in fast-paced studio environments and enjoys working across a wide range of production scenarios.

The Studios Production Technician is a dynamic, and multifaceted role built to operate at a high level across every production role we offer. Rather than specializing in a single discipline, this person learns the full range of production functions, lighting, camera, switching, audio, and everything in between, and takes full ownership of the quality of work they produce.

The goal is simple but ambitious: a Studios Production Technician should be capable of executing a full production on their own. This is a position we are building as we go, with structured training and hands-on growth, so the ideal person brings a growth mindset, adaptability, and a genuine drive to keep getting better. They will be asked to support a very wide scale of production needs in the studio and beyond, adapting to whatever each show requires.

As a Studios Production Technician, You Will

  • Learn and operate across the full range of production roles offered at Studios, including lighting, camera, switching, audio, and other functions as they arise.
  • Take full ownership of the quality of work you produce, holding your output to a consistent, high standard on every show.
  • Set and operate preset and customized stage lighting looks based on show needs.
  • Operate cameras, including PTZ and manual, applying proper framing, levels, and settings with little to no support.
  • Operate production switchers (e.g., TriCaster, GV and similar) to deliver clean, produced feeds.
  • Provide basic audio support, including mic setup, levels, and coordination with audio specialists when scoped.
  • Support recording, playback, teleconference, and PowerPoint/deck operation as required by the production.
  • Execute full productions independently at an appropriate scale, managing multiple functions within a single-operator or lean-operator workflow.
  • Provide general stage and production support, including setup, strike, and facilities readiness.
  • Consistently grow your skills across disciplines through structured training, cross-training, and on-the-job development.
  • Adapt fluidly across different production types, stages, and locations, including work outside the building as needed.
  • Follow established workflows, tools, and standards to reduce variability and protect production quality.
  • Communicate clearly with producers, leads, and fellow operators to keep productions running smoothly.
  • Perform other related duties as needed.

In This Role, You Bring

  • A genuine drive to learn, grow, and become a high-performing operator across every production role.
  • Working knowledge of professional production workflows and a willingness to develop depth across lighting, camera, switching, and audio.
  • Ability to take ownership of your work and hold yourself to a high-quality standard.
  • Proven ability to multitask and prioritize while managing multiple functions under live or as-live conditions.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with producers, leads, and crew.
  • A calm demeanor and flexibility in high-pressure, fast-paced situations.
  • A positive, constructive growth mindset and a team-first attitude
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while supporting broader team objectives.
  • Growth Mindset and a Bias for Action.

Bonus if You Have

  • Prior experience in a studio, broadcast, or live production environment.
  • Hands-on experience with camera (e.g., Sony cameras), switchers (e.g., TriCaster, Blackmagic, Ross), or lighting boards.
  • Experience with virtual and remote capture via platforms like Teams or Zoom.
  • Proficient signal flow knowledge and familiarity with production media management.
  • Experience operating across multiple production roles or in a multi-disciplinary capacity.

Additional Position Details

  • Supervisory Responsibilities
    • None.
  • Physical Demands
    • Ability to work for sustained periods in a studio, control room, or technical equipment environment.
    • Ability to sit or stand for extended periods while operating equipment or supporting a production.
    • Ability to safely lift and move equipment weighing up to approximately 30 to 40 pounds, with assistance as needed.
    • Ability to set up, rig, and cable equipment, which may involve bending, reaching, or working in confined or raised-floor spaces.
    • Ability to use hand tools, keyboards, computers, and production equipment for extended periods of time.
    • Visual acuity sufficient to monitor multiple screens, indicators, and control interfaces.
    • Ability to respond effectively in time-sensitive and high-pressure production environments.
    • Ability to work flexible hours, including occasional evenings or weekends, based on production schedules.
  • Work Environment
    • Work is primarily performed in studio, control room, production facility, and technical equipment environments, with occasional work outside the building.
    • Work may include exposure to AV equipment, lighting systems, and related technology, including background noise and temperature fluctuation typical of technical spaces.
    • The role operates in a fast-paced, collaborative environment supporting live and recorded productions.
    • Regular interaction with producers, leads, engineering, and production teams is required.
    • Flexible work hours may be required to support live events, production schedules, or operational needs.
    • Hybrid or onsite work may be required depending on business and production needs.
  • Travel
    • Production support will bring you to other buildings around campus. Additional travel may be needed.
