Door-to-Door Canvasser
Location: Burlington, VT
Position Type: Seasonal, Part-Time or Full-Time
About the Role:
Join our team of dedicated canvassers to raise awareness and support for local-level climate action this summer! As a canvasser, you will engage directly with community members to raise awareness, inspire action, and garner donations to support Run On Climate’s work advancing bold local climate solutions in communities across the country.
Canvassers have the option to work part-time (15-29 hours per week) or full-time (30-38 hours per week); please indicate your preference in your application.
Responsibilities:
Knock on doors, have meaningful conversations, and engage with residents about climate action.
Educate the public about our work.
Collect donations and/or contact information from those interested in supporting our work
Represent our mission and values with professionalism and enthusiasm in all interactions.
Work collaboratively with a team and report progress to your Canvass Director.
Qualifications:
Passion for climate action and social justice.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Positive attitude and ability to engage respectfully with diverse audiences.
Comfort working outdoors and traveling within local communities.
Previous canvassing, customer service, or fundraising experience is a plus but not required.
Compensation: Pay based on experience, $17-22/hr. plus bonuses and mileage reimbursement
