What are the responsibilities and job description for the Facilities Maintenance Technician position at Ruiz Food Product, Inc.?
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Monitors and performs non-technical maintenance of plumbing systems, to include standard repair of leaking fixtures, cleaning obstructed waste lines, installing water cooler, and or performing non-technical modification to plumbing and water supply system.
- Performs carpentry maintenance tasks including routine sheetrock/drywall installation and repair, wind replacement, cabinet and countertop replacement, painting and texturing, and door and hardware installation, paints interior and exterior finishes as appropriate.
- May perform general maintenance, custodial and trash removal tasks.
- Ensures proper care in the use and maintenance of equipment and supplies; promotes continuous improvement of workplace safety and environmental practices.
- Documents Facilities maintenance requirement maintains appropriate records of work performed.
- Perform miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- High school diploma or GED.
- At least 5 years of experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified. Learn to skillfully operate and maintain assigned equipment.
- Perform maintenance, repair.
- Experience including high speed doors, and HVAC is preferred.
- Operate personnel lifts, the use of a multimeter, general hand tool knowledge, safety conscience, general plumbing and a basic understanding of fluid dynamics.
- Understand and carry out oral and written instructions.
- Satisfactorily follow rules and procedures.
- Maintain equipment and tools.
