Duties
- Deliver food promptly from the kitchen to guests’ tables, ensuring accuracy and presentation standards are met.
- Clear plates, utensils, and glassware efficiently, maintaining cleanliness and order at each table.
- Assist servers by bussing tables, resetting for new guests, and providing support during busy service periods.
- Handle manual tasks such as heavy lifting of food trays and supplies following safe lifting practices.
- Maintain cleanliness in dining areas by cleaning tables, chairs, and surrounding surfaces regularly.
- Support food safety protocols by adhering to proper food handling procedures during service.
- Communicate effectively with kitchen staff and front-of-house team to coordinate timely food delivery and guest needs.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in food service or restaurant environments is preferred but not required; enthusiasm and willingness to learn are essential.
- Knowledge of POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is a plus for processing orders efficiently.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to interact positively with guests and team members.
- Ability to perform manual handling tasks including heavy lifting safely while maintaining good posture.
- Familiarity with food safety standards and basic food preparation practices is advantageous.
- Experience in banquet service or hotel hospitality can be beneficial but is not mandatory.
- A customer-focused attitude with excellent in-person service skills to ensure guest satisfaction at all times.
