Associate Attorney – Entertainment & Media Law

Overview
We are seeking a highly motivated Associate Attorney to join our Entertainment & Media Law practice, representing clients across the entertainment, live event, fashion, beauty, and music industries. The ideal candidate will have strong transactional experience, excellent drafting and negotiation skills, and a practical, business-minded approach to advising high-profile venues, talent, brands, and creative enterprises. This is a professional, client-facing role requiring sound judgment, reliability, and in-person collaboration.
Responsibilities
The Associate Attorney will work directly with partners and clients on a wide range of commercial and entertainment-related matters, including:
- Structuring, negotiating, and drafting commercial business transactions for clients in the entertainment industry, including celebrity endorsement agreements, brand licensing agreements, festival and event sponsorship agreements, live music performance agreements, and influencer agreements.
- Advising fashion, beauty, and lifestyle brands on collaborations, cultural moments, and evolving industry norms.
- Supporting clients on deal strategy, risk assessment, and contract interpretation throughout the lifecycle of a transaction.
- Managing multiple matters simultaneously while meeting deadlines in a fast-paced, deal-driven environment.
- Interfacing directly with clients, agents, managers, and business affairs executives.
Qualifications
- Education: J.D. from an accredited law school
- License: License: Active TN Attorney Bar license (or pending admission).
- Experience: 1–4 years of experience in entertainment law, media law, or commercial transactional practice
- Demonstrated experience drafting and negotiating entertainment or commercial agreements
- Familiarity with talent representation, brand partnerships, sponsorships, or live events
- Excellent legal writing, negotiation, and communication skills
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to think strategically and commercially
- Interest in and understanding of the entertainment, fashion, beauty, music, and live events industries
Preferred: In-house or law firm experience; familiarity with firm operations and billing.
