Position Summary
The Shipping Specialist is responsible for accurately pulling, staging, and shipping palletized rubber flooring products to customers and distribution partners. This role plays a critical part in ensuring orders are shipped on time, correctly, and safely. The ideal candidate demonstrates strong attention to detail, works well independently, and collaborates effectively with team members in a fast-paced manufacturing and warehouse environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Pull and stage palletized orders according to pick tickets, bills of lading, and shipping schedules
- Verify product type, quantity, lot numbers, and packaging accuracy prior to shipment
- Safely operate ride-on and stand-up forklifts to move, stage, and load products
- Load outbound shipments for LTL, full truckload, and parcel carriers in compliance with safety and freight standards
- Secure pallets using stretch wrap, banding, and other required materials
- Maintain accurate shipping documentation and coordinate with logistics and customer service teams
- Perform final checks to ensure shipments meet quality and customer requirements
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe shipping area
- Follow all company safety procedures and OSHA guidelines
- Assist with inventory counts and warehouse organization as needed
- Support team members and other warehouse functions during peak shipping periods
Required Skills & Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 1–3 years of shipping or warehouse experience preferred
- Experience operating ride-on and stand-up forklifts (certification preferred or ability to obtain)
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Strong teamwork and communication skills
- Basic computer or warehouse management system (WMS) experience preferred
- Ability to read and interpret pick tickets, shipping labels, and bills of lading
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and reach throughout the shift
- Ability to operate forklifts and other warehouse equipment safely
- Work in a manufacturing/warehouse environment with varying temperatures
Work Environment
- Fast-paced warehouse and manufacturing setting
- Exposure to forklift traffic, palletized materials, and industrial equipment
Pay: From $16.00 per hour
