What are the responsibilities and job description for the Project Scheduler position at RTR Energy Solutions, Inc.?
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in P6 project scheduling responsibilities within the utility, oil & gas, or heavy construction sectors. As a P6 Scheduler, you will play a crucial role in overseeing and managing project schedules and resources to ensure successful project execution.
Key Responsibilities:
- Primavera P6 Project Scheduling.
- Schedule Creation and Management
- Build initial project schedules in Primavera P6.
- Include governed milestones and gates.
- Include detailed activities (when required).
Manage Project Schedules:
- Conduct schedule variance analysis between the current schedule and baseline.
- Monitor construction progress and revise the current schedule in accordance with changes, delays, or accelerations.
- Progress schedule through milestone-based governance (senior management approval of schedule progression).
Analytics:
- Run analytics reports documenting schedule-related risks & variances.
- Proficient in Microsoft applications and able to run reports in Excel and manipulate associated dashboards and databases.
- Able to use Power BI reports.
Qualifications:
- 3 years’ experience in a construction project scheduler role.
- P6 experience in construction industry projects, preferably in utility.
- Bachelor's degree from a four-year college/university.
- Demonstrated understanding of the construction project life cycle as it pertains to schedules:
- Baselines, milestones, governing project changes.
- Demonstrated experience in Microsoft applications and working knowledge of Power BI.
- Must be a “self-starter” and assertive, willing to seek information needed and/or ask for help to ensure the requirements of the job are met.
