Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced Engineering Scheduler III to support electric distribution operations by owning the scheduling and resourcing of field work across internal crews and external contractors. This role is responsible for coordinating Tier 1- 4(T 0-4) work, with a primary focus on Metering and Distributed Energy Resources (DER) activities.
The Scheduler III will act as a central point of coordination between customers, field supervisors, contractors, and planning teams to ensure work is properly planned, communicated, and executed according to schedule.
Key Responsibilities
- Schedule and resource T-0 through T-4 electric distribution work for both PPL (PL) and contractor crews
- Own and manage scheduling for all Metering and DER work
- Coordinate directly with customers to set expectations and communicate plans for completion of PES (non-large project) work
- Lead and facilitate weekly work plan meetings with field supervisors, contractors, and planning coordinators
- Ensure alignment across stakeholders on priorities, timelines, and execution plans
- Maintain accurate schedules and updates using Primavera P6
- Apply strong electrical distribution knowledge to support effective planning and issue resolution
Required Skills & Experience
- Primavera P6 scheduling experience (must-have)
- Experience scheduling work within a utility or electrical distribution environment
- Strong coordination, communication, and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to work effectively with field teams, contractors, planners, and customers
- Solid understanding of electric distribution operations and workflows
