Due to the significant global growth RTP Company has experienced the past two years, the company is looking to expand it corporate finance ranks and is seeking an experienced Finance Manager at its Winona, MN corporate headquarters.
This position reports to the Director of Financial Planning, Reporting and Analysis and will be primarily responsible for the operational and management reporting as well as leading the monthly financial close and corporate consolidation process including issuance of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements. In addition, this position will play a significant role in the annual financial audit and work closely with company’s tax advisors during the preparation of the company’s annual tax returns.
This position also interacts with the executive leadership of the company to identify enhancements to management reporting and identifying financial and operational improvement opportunities.

Responsibilities
- Manage the overall monthly and annual financial close process
- Support the existing system of internal controls and look for opportunities for further improvements
- Become the corporate “expert” on the Company’s accounting processes and procedures
- Provide ad-hoc reporting and analysis as required to support strategic and financial initiatives
- Act as a key interface with external auditors and tax professionals.
- Provide key inputs to information technology personnel regarding the development of new financial reports from our existing system as well as input on and support of new financial systems.
- Perform additional projects and analysis as needed.
Skills and Abilities
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, especially Microsoft Excel. Exposure to Microsoft Dynamics AX is advantageous.
- Must have a thorough understanding of accounting systems.
- Strong understanding of corporate consolidation process of global company.
- Must have the ability to work well with others, both within and outside of the organization.
- Should possess effective and persuasive communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to keep financial information confidential is essential.
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting is required. CPA and/or MBA is a plus.
- A minimum of 5 years of Accounting/Finance experience, with progressively increasing responsibility, in an industrial or commercial environment or an audit firm.
- 2 plus years of supervisory experience.
