Brief Description
The Industrial Custodian will be responsible for maintaining a clean plant in common areas primarily focused on floors, walls, ceilings and outside areas (to include areas where pellets have accumulated). The individual will need to work from various levels, to include floor, ladders and manlift. This position will report directly to the Maintenance Manager or Maintenance Supervisor and will assist as needed for cleaning projects and maintenance projects.
Work Schedule: 1st Shift: 8am to 4pm - scheduled to work other shifts as needed.

Skills and Abilities
While performing the duties of the job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl, use hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools or controls; talk and/or hear. Occasionally, the employee is required to use motorized equipment to include forklift and manlift. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally handle (with mechanical equipment) up to 250 pounds. Specific vision abilities may require close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus. This position requires the use of safety equipment as dictated by the work area such as safety glasses and shoes, respirators, face shield, hearing protection, Tyvek suit, gloves, etc. Exposure to noise levels above the OSHA action level may be possible. Proper personal safety equipment is to be used while performing this job as pointed out by plant safety procedures. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, dust, fumes, airborne particles, and risk of electric shock and non-hazardous chemical agents. The employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts and fumes or airborne particles.

Responsibilities
- Maintains and cleans all exterior areas to comply with Environmental Guidelines.
- Maintains and cleans all floors, walls and ceilings in both office areas and production areas.
- May assist in basic maintenance projects as needed.
- Completes required paperwork (i.e. work orders).
- Follows general safety and housekeeping standards.
- Makes recommendations to Maintenance Manager/Supervisor on how to improve the cleanliness of the site.
Skills and Abilities
- Manufacturing experience is a plus
