Special Education Teacher Social Emotional Classroom Grades K-6 Starting Date: Fall of 2026-2027 year RSU 16 is seeking a dedicated and collaborative Special Education Teacher (K–6) – SEL/Behavior Specialist to join our team. This position is ideal for an educator who is passionate about supporting students with social, emotional, and behavioral needs in a small, structured learning environment. Serve as the special education case manager duties including IEP development, implementation, collect and analyze student data to inform instructional and behavioral decision-making. Create and maintain a safe, positive and supportive classroom environment. Utilize trauma-informed instructional practices and social-emotional learning (SEL) strategies to support students. Provide coaching, guidance and ongoing training to educational technicians to ensure consistent implementation of instructional and behavioral supports. Work collaboratively with BCBA, general education teachers, related service providers, administrators and families to support student achievement across settings.
