Job Overview:
The Electrical Laborer supports electricians and field crews in the installation, maintenance, and cleanup of electrical systems on commercial construction job sites. This entry-level role is ideal for individuals looking to start a career in the electrical field while gaining hands-on experience in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities and Essential Tasks -
- Assist electricians with installation of conduit, wiring, and electrical components
- Transport materials, tools, and equipment across job sites
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment (jobsite cleanup, debris removal)
- Dig trenches, pull wire, and assist with basic electrical tasks under supervision
- Follow all safety protocols and OSHA regulations
- Operate basic hand and power tools
- Support team members with general labor duties as needed
- Ensure safety and efficiency by guiding vehicle drivers and equipment operators in bind spots, tight spaces, or busy environments like construction sites and warehouses.

Compensation:
Rex Moore pays hourly/salary rates commensurate with each employee’s knowledge, experience and skill level.
Work environment:
- Active commercial jobsite under construction performing the following:
- Wearing of personal protective equipment (PPE), always including a hard hat, safety glasses, gloves,
- work boots and high viz vest/ shirt
- Working around energized equipment
- Working days, night, weekends, and overtime as required
- Willing and able to work in confined and/or small spaces
- Constant collaboration with fellow team members
- This role requires working in all elements, depending on job location, time of year, heat, cold, rain & snow
LOCATION:
Rex Moore and affiliated offices are located throughout California and Nevada.
Qualifications:Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Ability to follow directions and work as part of a team
- Strong work ethic and willingness to learn
- Basic understanding of construction tools and safety practices (preferred but not required)
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks
- Reliable transportation and punctuality
- Patience and the ability to remain calm in the stressful situations
- Have good coordination
Physical Requirements:
- Frequently required walking for long and short distances, walking from one worksite to another.

- Must also be able to visually identify and read posted signs, instructions, and identify possible hazards
