RSC is currently hiring experienced Shipfitters and Welders for long-term new construction work in Philadelphia, PA. This is an excellent opportunity for skilled marine tradesmen seeking steady work, overtime, and competitive pay on large shipbuilding projects. Per Diem of $150 daily available to those who qualify.
Testing locations are available in Pennsylvania, Virginia, and Louisiana.
Job Responsibilities:
- Perform shipfitting and structural welding on new construction marine vessels
- Read and work from blueprints, drawings, and work instructions
- Fabricate, fit, align, and tack structural components
- Maintain safety and quality standards throughout production
Qualifications:
- Minimum 3 years of shipyard, marine, or heavy industrial experience
- Shipfitters must pass SMAW and FCAW tack test
- Welders must pass 2G/3G FCAW with backing bend test
Additional Requirements:
- Must pass pre-employment drug screen
- Must be able to work overtime and any assigned shift
- Long-term, ongoing work available
- New construction environment only
