Looking for Day RN Nurse Supervisor as well as Night RN Nurse Supervisor

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to join our team as an RN Nursing Supervisor. This role oversees nursing staff and clinical care on assigned units, ensuring residents receive high-quality, individualized care. The RN Supervisor partners with nursing leadership, medical providers, and interdisciplinary teams to support staff performance, care planning, and facility compliance.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and support nursing staff on assigned units, ensuring adherence to facility policies and nursing standards.
• Conduct resident rounds, review 24-hour reports, and address changes in condition with medical providers.
• Monitor electronic medical records for alerts, incomplete assessments, medication and treatment concerns, and documentation accuracy.
• Ensure admissions, discharges, transfers, and census information are accurately documented.
• Complete MDS assessments as assigned and support accurate documentation for MDS and PRI completion.
• Develop, review, and update individualized care plans with nursing staff and interdisciplinary teams.
• Oversee restorative nursing programs and coordinate with physical and occupational therapy staff.
• Assess skin integrity and oversee pressure injury prevention, treatment, documentation, and care planning.
• Review accidents and incidents, conduct investigations as appropriate, and submit required reports promptly.
• Provide staff education, assess clinical competencies, and conduct performance evaluations.
• Collaborate with the Staffing Coordinator and nursing leadership to maintain appropriate coverage and address staffing concerns.
• Participate in quality improvement audits, facility committees, and ongoing efforts to improve resident care.
• Promote resident rights, confidentiality, infection prevention, and a safe care environment.
• Maintain clear, professional communication with residents, families, staff, and medical providers.

Qualifications

• Current New York State Registered Nurse (RN) license.
• At least 2–3 years of RN experience in long-term care or a nursing home setting.
• PRI certification.
• Proficiency in MDS completion and individualized care planning.
• Strong clinical assessment, documentation, organizational, and leadership skills.
• Ability to work independently, prioritize responsibilities, and remain effective in stressful situations.
• Excellent communication skills and a collaborative, resident-centered approach.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to perform essential job duties, including standing for extended periods and sitting, bending, lifting, pushing, pulling, and moving throughout the workday, with or without reasonable accommodation.
• Ability to assist with resident evacuation during emergencies.
• Ability to meet applicable job-related medical and physical requirements.
