Key Responsibilities
- Process fresh-cut orders efficiently and accurately.
- Cut and package vegetables and other food products according to customer orders.
- Process fresh-cut items and produce based on orders entered into the system.
- Package products and prepare them for shipment.
- Ensure orders are completed accurately and on time for next-day delivery.
- Maintain established product quality and food safety standards.
- Follow all company safety rules, procedures, and regulations.
- Safely use sharp cutting instruments and production equipment.
- Learn and operate an electric pallet jack as needed.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
- Follow instructions and complete additional tasks as assigned by the Manager or Supervisor.
This position is performed in a cold and wet production environment.
- Temperature is consistently approximately 34°F–40°F year-round.
- Candidates must be comfortable working in cold and wet conditions for extended periods.
- Employees may be required to operate an electric pallet jack after appropriate training.
- Steel-toe, safety-toe, or composite-toe boots that are slip-resistant and water-resistant are required.
This is a physically active position. Candidates must be able to:
- Lift up to 80 pounds.
- Bend, squat, push, and pull frequently.
- Stand and walk for extended periods.
- Work safely with sharp instruments.
- Perform repetitive tasks in a fast-paced production environment.
- Work safely while handling fresh produce and food products.
- Monday through Friday
- Start time: 8:00 AM
- End time varies based on workload, typically between 3:00 PM and 6:00 PM.
- On rare occasions, the workday may extend until approximately 8:00 PM.
- Employees are expected to remain at work until assigned work is completed.
- Reliable attendance and punctuality are essential.
