Key Responsibilities
- Perform detailed audit and attest procedures in accordance with professional standards (GAAS, SSARS).
- Prepare and review financial statements, workpapers, and supporting documentation.
- Communicate directly with clients to gather information, explain findings, and deliver exceptional service.
- Identify accounting and audit issues and collaborate with supervisors or managers on resolution.
- Assist with engagement planning, budgeting, and timeline management.
- Provide guidance and mentorship to junior associates on engagements.
- Stay current on accounting and auditing standards relevant to client industries.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field; CPA or CPA-eligible strongly preferred.
- 2–4 years of public accounting experience with a focus on attest/audit services.
- Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP and GAAS.
- Detail-oriented with strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and audit software (e.g., CCH Engagement, CaseWare, etc.).
