Since 1996, RQC, LLC. has been a leading player in Southern California's robust commercial and governmental Design-Build economy. We now have a national presence with current projects spanning coast to coast, as well as internationally.
Headquartered in beautiful Carlsbad, CA, we are a full-service Design-Build company. We offer management of projects throughout the United States, with our field operations' team members who work on location for each of our projects. We specialize in fast-track projects in new commercial construction for both public and private clients, with a primary focus in the Department of Defense market.
This position is responsible for managing the daily operations, proposals, projects, and personnel of the Electrical Estimating Department and to track potential leads for future projects. The Estimating Manager is responsible for more than one project at a time, all in support of RQ's Mission, Vision, and Values.
Requirements are as follows:
- A BA/BS degree in minimum formal education required for this position. Equivalent work experience will be considered.
- Twelve or more years' experience or equivalent in architectural/ engineering/ construction estimating and related functions, including strategies, techniques, and contracting required.
- Conceptual and Hard-Bid estimating required.
- Project and performance management work experience required.
- Previous work experience in the construction design-build industry, including work with contractors and subcontractors in both private and the Department of Defense (DoD) markets required.
- Computer literacy (Microsoft Office - esp. Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, Outlook, Internet, etc.) required.
- Specific software literacy (McCormick, Bluebeam, etc...) preferred.
