Round Peg Solutions is exclusively recruiting for a leading aerospace manufacturer hosting this Careers Day at its Laconia site.

The role you’ll explore: Entry-Level Machine Operator

You’ll be trained from the ground up to produce precision components used in aerospace and other specialist sectors. No prior machining experience is required—just reliability, curiosity, and the drive to learn.

Compensation

• Starting pay: $21.49–$26.33 per hour, plus shift premiums and a monthly bonus
• Experienced candidates: Considered up to $30 per hour
• Scheduled increase: 3.5% pay increase effective 1 November 2026, with annual pay negotiations through the union
• Sign-on bonus: $3,000–$5,000 depending on offer and shift

Shifts

• 2nd Shift: Monday–Friday, 3:30pm–11:30pm (10% premium)
• 3rd Shift: Monday–Thursday, 11:00pm–7:00am (15% premium)
• No current 1st Shift vacancies. Training typically occurs on 1st Shift; alternate arrangements may be evaluated individually.

What your day-to-day could look like

• Operate precision manufacturing equipment safely and efficiently after receiving fully paid training
• Produce components that meet tight dimensional and quality tolerances
• Use measurement tools to inspect and verify finished parts
• Follow detailed work instructions, quality procedures, and safety practices
• Partner with experienced machinists to steadily build your technical expertise

Who thrives here

• High School Diploma or GED
• Comfort with basic math and clear communication
• Consistent attendance, reliability, and a strong work ethic
• Hands-on interests (machinery, engineering, automotive, construction, or similar)
• Willingness to learn new skills and work the available shifts

Candidates with prior machining or manufacturing experience are encouraged to attend and apply.
