Reports To: Facility Operations Manager
Status: Non-Exempt (Hourly)
Position Overview
The Production Associate is responsible for mixing colors and bases to meet established product specifications. This role plays a critical part in maintaining product quality by accurately following formulas, matching color standards, and supporting overall production operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Measure and weigh materials according to formula sheets
- Mix tints and bases to achieve accurate color matches
- Ensure all products meet established quality and color standards
- Maintain accurate inventory levels and report discrepancies
- Keep work area clean, organized, and safe
- Cross-train in other departments and support additional duties as needed
Qualifications
Required:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Basic math and measurement skills
- Ability to read and follow instructions and formulas
- Ability to work independently and stay on task
Preferred:
- Previous manufacturing experience
- Experience with paint, coatings, or stain matching
Skills & Abilities:
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Good problem-solving and reasoning ability
- Ability to meet required color testing standards
- Team-oriented mindset with a positive attitude
Physical & Work Requirements
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly and up to 100 lbs occasionally
- Frequent standing, walking, bending, and use of hands
- Work performed in a manufacturing environment with exposure to coatings and solvents (PPE provided)
