What are the responsibilities and job description for the Material Handler position at RPM Wood Finishes Group?
GENERAL SUMMARY
Move materials with forklift to appropriate locations within department and around facility.
PRINCIPLE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Check inventory of machine tape, hot glue, UPC labels, box labels, ribbons, pallets, etc.
Order materials and maintain supplies necessary for the daily running of materials, such as cans, boxes, lids, pallet ship sheets, etc.
Maintain supplies for filling line, such as empty cans, boxes, etc. and operate forklift to manage supply of materials to line
Move full pallets of finished material to pallet wrappers and wrap with shrink wrap.
Move completed pallets to shipping staging areas

Experience and Education Required
Previous forklift experience preferred
Fill off experience preferred
Specific Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required
Basic math/ measurement skills
Basic reading and comprehension skills
Reasoning Ability
Determine correct processes regarding standard filling line procedures as instructed in initial training and from batch ticket instructions.
Work without continuous supervision and complete assigned projects.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS : Must be able to obtain forklift license.
