Position Overview
The Accounting Manager supports the Director in overseeing key corporate accounting and financial planning activities. This role is responsible for critical components of the month-end close process, including journal entry review, prepaid expense management, and balance sheet reconciliations.
The position also plays a key role in forecasting, variance analysis, and development of the operating plan, while partnering closely with leadership to deliver accurate, timely, and actionable financial insights.
Key Responsibilities
- Review and support quarterly forecasting processes across multiple departments
- Analyze pre-close and post-close variances and provide actionable insights
- Assist in the development and review of the annual operating plan
- Review journal entries and oversee balance sheet reconciliations, including prepaids
- Support month-end close processes to ensure accuracy and timeliness
- Partner with leadership to address accounting and reporting needs
- Participate in special projects and process improvement initiatives
Qualifications
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field
Preferred:
- CPA, CA, or equivalent professional certification
Experience
- 5–6 years of progressive accounting experience (public accounting or similar environment)
- Demonstrated ability to operate at or near manager level
- Experience leading workstreams, ensuring quality, and managing stakeholder expectations
Technical Skills
- Experience with ERP/financial systems such as Oracle Financials, Hyperion Essbase, and BlackLine preferred
- Familiarity with financial reporting, consolidations, and account reconciliation processes
