This opportunity is for an experienced inpatient pharmacist to support hospital pharmacy operations over a 16-week travel assignment in Wellsville, NY. The role involves working closely with the inpatient care team to ensure safe and effective medication management and verification within a hospital setting.
Responsibilities:
- Verify and review intravenous (IV) medications and orders to ensure accuracy and safety
- Support inpatient pharmacy operations adhering to hospital protocols
- Collaborate with healthcare providers to optimize patient outcomes
- Maintain compliance with regulatory and safety standards in medication handling
Qualifications/Desired Experience:
- Minimum of 2 years recent inpatient or clinical pharmacy experience
- Strong knowledge of hospital pharmacy practices, especially inpatient medication management
- Ability to accurately verify IV orders and work within a multidisciplinary team
- Licensed pharmacist with credentials valid for the assignment location
Location:
- Wellsville, New York
Schedule/Hours:
- Days, rotating shifts between 7:00 AM–3:30 PM and 8:00 AM–4:30 PM
- Approximately one weekend per month
- Must be available to work at least one holiday, including Thanksgiving, Christmas, or New Year’s
