This role involves providing comprehensive inpatient pharmacy services, including verifying intravenous medications to ensure patient safety and optimal therapeutic outcomes.
Schedule:
- Day shifts rotating between 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM and 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM
- One weekend per month
- Required holiday coverage (Thanksgiving, Christmas, or New Year’s)
Key Responsibilities:
- Accurately check and verify intravenous medications and other inpatient prescriptions
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to provide clinical pharmacy services
- Maintain compliance with hospital protocols and regulatory standards
- Support safe and effective medication use for inpatients
Qualifications:
- Minimum 2 years of recent inpatient or clinical pharmacy experience
- Active pharmacist license in the applicable state or eligibility for licensure
- Strong knowledge of inpatient medication therapies and IV preparation
